Prada Candy's TV ad campaign stars Léa Seydoux, the new child prodigy of French cinema. In it, she plays a piano student who seduces her teacher with a provocative dance. Leading artist and director specialising in the world of fashion, Jean-Paul Goude, directs the Prada Candy ad. Léa Seydoux's hypnotic dance is inspired by the Apache dance, associated with the urban culture of early 20th century Paris. This intense and violent dance expresses a primitive battle between the passions of a man and a woman: a battle in which, more often than not, the woman wins.
Candy is Sophisticated:
In the image used for the graphic campaign, Léa Seydoux holds in her hands a bottle of Prada Candy with which she provocatively covers one eye, while her lips, painted in a deep scarlet shade, contrast with the bottle. In a sophisticated nod to the world of fashion, the Prada logo is embossed in gold lettering on pink Saffiano leather to capture the Prada Candy woman's capacity for seduction and self-confidence.
Candy is Striking:
It is impossible for Prada Candy to go unnoticed. Its packaging is bold, unconventional and modern, yet its luxurious materials make it sophisticated and timeless. Inspired by vintage bottles, a strip of bright pink Saffiano leather hugs the top of the bottle, on which rests the refined Prada logo in elegant gold lettering. The spray, perched on the golden collar like a shiny black crescent moon, is the striking finishing touch to this bottle.
On the packaging, a striking caricature walking on the striking pink case embodies the artistic and personal nature of the Prada Candy woman. The illustration, created by legendary illustrator François Berthoud in shades of bright yellow and pink, scarlet and liquorice black, subtly evokes the typical cosmetic cases of the 1950s. The Prada Candy logo, on a glossy black stripe, runs across the front of the packaging that mimics the texture of Saffiano leather; a refined touch that evokes the horizontal lines of the advertising campaign.
Notes:
Musk Cocktail: A refined veil of timeless Musks envelops the notes of Benzoin and Caramel, to reveal an irreverent combination that defies convention. The velvety, silky texture of the Musks lends a sophisticated and elegant character to the fragrance.
Overdose of Laotian Benzoin: Benzoin is a resin extracted from the styrax, a tree that grows in the forests of Laos. Present here in a previously unheard of high concentration of 12%, it is addictive and sensual, with its warm, sweet and balsamic notes evocative of a honey with delicate vanilla aromas.
Caramel Explosion: In an unexpected twist from Prada, a synthetic and modern Caramel accord hits with the natural note of Benzoin. This Caramel accord is delicious, joyfully feminine and gourmandly addictive.
