Prada Candy is instantly seductive, pure pleasure wrapped in impulsive charm. In an extravagant explosion of pink and gold, Prada Candy ventures into the wild side of life, showing us a new facet of Prada femininity where more is more and excess is everything. Taking the extreme as a starting point for new ideas, Prada Candy emerged from a desire to push things to the limit, to create totally new, unexpected and optimistic concepts. Prada Candy declares that there is no better time than now to be daring and passionate in life.
Candy is Excessive:
The essential extravagance and enjoyment of Prada Candy springs from its excess. Prada Candy is a fragrance with an innovative olfactory balance that combines exceptional ingredients in exaggerated proportions. Magnified by White Musks, noble Benzoin joins with a modern Caramel accord to give the fragrance a truly unique personality.
Candy is Provocative:
Prada Candy's TV ad campaign stars Léa Seydoux, the new child prodigy of French cinema. In it, she plays a piano student who seduces her teacher with a provocative dance. Leading artist and director specializing in the world of fashion, Jean-Paul Goude, directs the Prada Candy ad. Léa Seydoux's hypnotic dance is inspired by the Apache dance, associated with the urban culture of early 20th century Paris. This intense and violent dance expresses a primitive battle in which the passions of a man and a woman confront each other: a battle in which, almost always, the woman wins.
Candy is Sophisticated:
In the image used for the graphic campaign, Léa Seydoux holds in her hands a bottle of Prada Candy with which she provocatively covers one eye, while her lips, painted in a deep scarlet hue, contrast with the bottle. In a sophisticated nod to the world of fashion, the Prada logo has been embossed in gold lettering on pink Saffiano leather, attempting to capture the Prada Candy woman's capacity for seduction and self-confidence.
Candy is Striking:
It is impossible for Prada Candy to go unnoticed. Its packaging is bold, unconventional and modern, although its luxurious materials make it sophisticated and timeless. Inspired by vintage bottles, a strip of bright pink Saffiano leather hugs the top of the bottle, on which rests the refined Prada logo in elegant gold lettering. The vaporizer, perched on the golden neck like a shiny black crescent moon, is the surprising finishing touch to this bottle.
On the packaging, a striking caricature walking on the striking pink case embodies the artistic and personal nature of the Prada Candy woman. The illustration, created by legendary illustrator François Berthoud in shades of bright yellow and pink, scarlet and licorice black, subtly evokes the typical cosmetic cases of the 1950s. The Prada Candy logo, on a glossy black stripe, furrows the front of the packaging that mimics the texture of Saffiano leather; a refined touch that evokes the horizontal lines of the advertising campaign.
Notes:
Musk Cocktail: a refined veil of timeless Musks envelops the notes of Benzoin and Caramel, to reveal an irreverent combination that defies convention. The velvety, silky texture of Musks lends a sophisticated and elegant character to the fragrance.
Overdose of Laotian Benzoin: Benzoin is a resin extracted from the styrax, a tree that grows in the forests of Laos. Present here in a high concentration of 12%, unheard of to date, it is addictive and sensual, with its warm, sweet and balsamic notes evocative of a honey with delicate vanilla aromas.
Caramel Explosion: In an unexpected twist from Prada, a synthetic and modern Caramel accord impacts with the natural note of Benzoin. This Caramel accord is delicious, joyfully feminine and gourmandly addictive.
